Strategic Planning for Climate Action

On March 6, 2025, the first operational planning workshop of the project "Supporting Ukraine in the Implementation of the Paris Agreement and Adaptation to the Impact of Climate Change in the Black Sea Region" (PAABS) took place in Krakow, Poland organized by GIZ. Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Natural Resources, Viktoriia Kyreieva, attended the event along with other representatives of the ministry and the Ukrainian and German implementing organizations (consortium partners).

During the full-day workshop, each consortium partner presented their planned project activities for 2025. The participants discussed potential challenges, risks, overlaps and synergies, and reached an agreement on key coordination mechanisms. In addition, a comprehensive roadmap for 2025 was developed and finalized. 

The event provided a valuable opportunity for networking and knowledge exchange, clearly defining the roles and responsibilities of each partner and outlining the next steps for coordinated action.
