With the participation of the Deputy Minister for Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, Oleksandr Krasnolutskyi, as well as Dr. Kathrin Blaufuß, Head of the IKI Programme – the central climate finance mechanism of the German Federal Government – the implementation measures for the current and upcoming project year were jointly agreed upon together with the seven other project partners.
In addition to supporting Ukraine in fulfilling reporting and implementation obligations under the Paris Agreement, the Succow Foundation focuses on further steps in the implementation of ecosystem-based adaptation measures in the Odessa region.
Furthermore, the Succow Foundation is responsible for coordinating knowledge management and disseminating successful and promising adaptation measures in the Black Sea littoral states, including Georgia, Moldova, and Türkiye.
The PAABS project is part of the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the German Federal Government, funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN), and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
