What started back then with a small team and big ideals has grown into an internationally recognized foundation – driven by expertise, cooperation, and tireless dedication to protecting our natural livelihoods.
Our 2024 Annual Report takes you along on this journey:
- A look back at inspiring milestones
- Protection of valuable natural heritage sites
- Sustainable land use
- Current projects for peatland convervation and climate protection
- World Heritage nominations & Biosphere reserves
- Research, training & international cooperation
- Transparency on the use of funds and engagement
The report not only presents figures and facts, but also explains the foundation’s fields of work and projects. Among other things, it highlights why peatland restoration, sustainable land use, and cross-border conservation are key building blocks of a climate-friendly future.
Wilderness Without Borders: Your Donation Helps Migratory Wildlife
In 2024, we launched the project “Wilderness Without Borders”. Its aim is to once again provide free pathways for saiga antelopes, wild asses, and other migratory species in the steppes and deserts of Central Asia. With your support, we are creating safe wildlife corridors along border fences – a concrete contribution against species loss and habitat fragmentation.
