Scope
I. General information

When you visit our Internet pages, personal data is collected from you. These are data which are necessary to enable you to use our Internet pages or which enable us to take your settings into account. It is also information that you yourself provide us with via the contact options offered on these pages.

We use this data to ensure the proper operation of our website and to answer your enquiries.

In the following, we inform you about which data is collected on our website and for what purposes it is processed. We will inform you about the use of so-called "cookies" and about the analysis tools used on our website and the possibilities of allowing or rejecting them. We inform you about your rights and the contact details of our data protection officer at the end of this data protection declaration.

Cookies

We use cookies. Cookies are text files which are stored on a computer system via an internet browser.

Numerous internet pages and servers use cookies. Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID. A cookie ID is a unique identification of the cookie. It consists of a string of characters which can be used to assign Internet pages and servers to the specific Internet browser in which the cookie was stored. This enables the Internet pages and servers visited to distinguish your individual browser from other Internet browsers that contain other cookies. A specific Internet browser can be recognized and identified by the unique cookie ID.

By using cookies, we can provide more user-friendly services to the users of this website, which would not be possible without the setting of cookies. By means of a cookie, the information and offers on our website can be optimised in the interest of the user. As already mentioned, cookies enable us to recognize the users of our website. The purpose of this recognition is to make it easier for users to use our website. For example, the user of a website that uses cookies does not have to enter his or her access data each time he or she visits the website, because this is done by the website and the cookie stored on the user's computer system.

You can prevent cookies from being set by our website at any time by means of a corresponding setting in the Internet browser used, thereby permanently opposing the setting of cookies. Furthermore, cookies that have already been set can be deleted at any time via an Internet browser or other software programs. This is possible in all common Internet browsers. If the person concerned deactivates the setting of cookies in the Internet browser used, it is possible that not all functions of our website can be used to their full extent.

Server log files

The provider of our website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which are automatically transmitted to us by your browser. The following can be recorded

(1) used browser types and versions,

(2) the operating system used by the accessing system,

(3) the website from which an accessing system reaches our website (so-called referrer),

(4) sub-websites which are accessed via an accessing system on our website,

(5) the date and time of access to the website,

(6) an Internet Protocol (IP) address,

(7) the Internet service provider of the accessing system, and

(8) other similar data and information which serve to avert danger in the event of attacks on our information technology systems.

We do not draw any conclusions about you when using this general data and information. This information is rather required to

(1) to deliver the contents of our website correctly

(2) to optimise the contents of our website and the advertising for it,

(3) to ensure the permanent functionality of our information technology systems and the technology of our website and

(4) to provide law enforcement authorities with information necessary for law enforcement purposes in the event of a cyber attack.

This data and information is therefore evaluated by us on the one hand statistically and also with the aim of increasing data protection and data security in our company in order to ultimately ensure an optimum level of protection for the personal data processed by us. The anonymous data of the server log files will be separated from all your personal data. This data is not merged with other data sources. However, if there are indications of an illegal use of our Internet offer, we may subsequently check this data.

Newsletter subscription

1. Newsletter subscription:

On our website, users are given the opportunity to subscribe to our company's newsletter. Which personal data are transmitted to the data controller when ordering the newsletter is determined by the input mask used for this purpose.

We inform our customers and business partners at regular intervals by means of a newsletter about offers from our company. The newsletter of our company can only be received by you if

(1) you have a valid e-mail address and

(2) you have registered for the newsletter.

For legal reasons, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to an e-mail address registered for the first time for the newsletter dispatch using the double opt-in procedure. This confirmation mail is used to check whether the owner of the e-mail address has authorized the receipt of the newsletter as the person concerned.

When registering for the newsletter, we also save the IP address assigned to you and the date and time of registration. The collection of this data is necessary in order to be able to trace any possible misuse of the e-mail address of a person concerned at a later date and therefore serves as a legal safeguard.

The personal data collected during registration for the newsletter is used exclusively for sending our newsletter. In addition, subscribers to the newsletter could be informed by e-mail if this is necessary for the operation of the newsletter service or for registration, as might be the case if there are changes to the newsletter offer or if technical conditions change. The personal data collected within the scope of the newsletter service will not be passed on to third parties.

The subscription to our newsletter can be cancelled by you at any time. You can revoke your consent to the storage of personal data that you have given us for the newsletter service at any time. For the purpose of revoking your consent, you will find a corresponding link in every newsletter. Furthermore, you have the possibility to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time directly on our website or to inform us of this in another way.

2. Newsletter tracking:

Our newsletters can contain so-called tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphic that is embedded in such e-mails that are sent in HTML format to enable log file recording and log file analysis. This enables a statistical evaluation of the success or failure of online marketing campaigns. By means of the embedded pixel-code, we can identify whether and when an e-mail was opened by a recipient and which links in the e-mail were called up by the recipient.

Such personal data collected via the pixel-code contained in the newsletters is stored and evaluated by us in order to optimise the newsletter dispatch and to adapt the content of future newsletters even better to the interests of the recipients. This personal data is not passed on to third parties.

Affected persons are entitled at any time to revoke the separate declaration of consent submitted in this regard via the double opt-in procedure. After revocation, these personal data will be deleted by the person responsible for processing, unless the right to deletion is restricted by law. We automatically interpret a cancellation of the receipt of the newsletter as a withdrawal of consent.

III. Analysis tools

Matomo (formerly: PIWIK )

We have integrated the component Matomo on our website.

Matomo is an open source software tool for web analysis. Web-Analysis is the collection, collection and evaluation of data about the behaviour of visitors of internet pages. Among other things, a web analysis tool collects data about which website a person concerned came to a website from (so-called referrer), which sub-pages of the website were accessed or how often and for how long a subpage was viewed. A web analysis is mainly used to optimize a website and for cost-benefit analysis of internet advertising.

The purpose of the Matomo component is the analysis of visitor flows on our website. Among other things, we use the acquired data and information to evaluate the use of this website in order to compile online reports.

Matomo sets a cookie in your system to enable us to analyse the use of our website. Every time you call up one of the individual pages of this website, your internet browser is automatically prompted by the Matomo component to transmit data to our server for the purpose of online analysis. Within the scope of this technical procedure we receive knowledge of personal data such as your IP address in order to trace the origin of our visitors and clicks.

By means of the cookie, personal information such as the access time, the location from which an access originated and the frequency of visits to our website are stored. Each time you visit our website, this personal data, including your IP address, is transferred to our server. This personal data is stored by us. We do not pass on this personal data to third parties.

You can prevent the setting of cookies at any time by means of a corresponding setting in the Internet browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies.

Furthermore, you have the possibility to object to the collection of data generated by Matomo and related to the use of this website and to prevent such collection. For this purpose please use the following link: matomo.org/docs/privacy/ set.

IV.    Internet Advertising

Google AdWords

We have integrated components of Google Adwords on our website.

Google AdWords is an internet advertising service that allows advertisers to display ads in Google's search engine results as well as in the Google advertising network. Google AdWords allows an advertiser to set pre-defined keywords that will cause an ad to appear in Google's search engine results only when the user uses the search engine to retrieve a keyword relevant search result. In the Google advertising network, the ads are distributed to topic-relevant websites by means of an automatic algorithm and in accordance with the keywords previously defined.

The company operating the Google AdWords services is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.

If you reach our website via a Google ad, a so-called conversion cookie is stored on your system by Google. A conversion cookie loses its validity after thirty days and does not serve to identify you. If the cookie has not expired, the conversion cookie is used to determine whether certain sub-pages, for example the shopping cart from an online shop system, have been called up on our website. The conversion cookie enables both we and Google to track whether you have reached our website via an AdWords ad and generated sales, i.e. whether you have made or cancelled a purchase.

The data and information collected through the use of the conversion cookie is used by Google to create visit statistics for our website. These visit statistics are in turn used by us to determine the total number of users who were referred to us via AdWords ads, i.e. to determine the success or failure of the respective AdWords ad and to optimize our AdWords ads for the future. Neither our company nor other Google AdWords advertisers receive any information from Google that could be used to identify you.

The conversion cookie is used to store personal information, such as the websites you visit. Whenever you visit our website, personal data, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google in the United States of America. This personal data is stored by Google in the United States of America. Google may pass on this personal data collected via the technical process to third parties.

You can prevent the setting of cookies at any time by means of a corresponding setting in the Internet browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies.

Furthermore, the person concerned has the possibility to object to the interest-related advertising by Google. To do so, please use the following link: www.google.de/settings/ad.

Further information and Google's applicable privacy policy can be found at www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

PayPal may share personal data with affiliated companies and service providers or subcontractors to the extent necessary to fulfil contractual obligations or if the data is to be processed under contract.

You have the possibility to revoke your consent to PayPal to process personal data at any time. A revocation does not affect personal data that is mandatory for (contractual) payment processing.

PayPal's current privacy policy can be found at www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full.

We store the personal data collected from the time of collection.
